Whipsnade Wild Animal Park TP Nutters Meet

By on 18 January, 2015 in Photography

Yesterday was a cold, snowy morning in January and the annual talkphotography nutters meet at whipsnade wild animal park was held. Many sacrifices were made to the weather Gods in hope for the nuttiest weather. Unfortunately whilst it was snowing, the weather turned, and it became a beautiful dry and sunny winters day. Never the less it was a nice event, and the animals were ready to entertain. Whipsnade Wild Animal Park Photos Photographic equipment Whilst the weather was wet, snowy, and very cold at whipsnade wild animal park, my trusted Billingham Hadley Pro kept my cameras dry, provided plenty of space for both and was comfortable to carry. Steve Backshall Deadly Aerial Assassins

By on 7 May, 2014 in Photography

Steve Backshall presents Deadly Aerial Assassins at Whipsnade Wild Animal Park. Steve Backshall is the popular presenter from Deadly 60 and other shows on BBC Television. The Zoological Society of London together with BBC Events organised this amazing show during the May bank holiday weekend at Whipsnade Zoo. Since I live within walking distance it would have been rude not to pay a visit and try out my new Olympus 75-300mm lens. Steve Backshall Gallery As usual, just click the image to see it larger and the EXIF information. The Technical Bits As I knew this was one, and the longest reach that I had for my use, was my Panasonic 35-100mm I thought it was a good opportunity to expand on my lenses. I found it hard to decide whether to go for the Panasonic 100-300 or the Olympus 75-300. In the end I went with the Olympus 75-300 from Amazon UK as it was cheaper, provided a bit of extra...

New Forest Wild Ponies

By on 31 August, 2013 in Photography

The New Forest Wild Ponies are a fantastic attraction in the United Kingdom. The New Forest is magical, and one of my favourite places in the world. From the moment I cross those cattle grids, and I see the New Forest Wild Ponies, I relax. It was a last minute decision to go there with my wife and daughters. We put Nero our Labrador puppy in a kennel as he can’t handle the long walks yet, booked a nice remote hotel, and had a wonderful time. I hope you enjoy the photos.     The New Forest Wild Ponies Photographs Panasonic 35-100mm SLR Magic 12mm SLR Magic 12mm SLR Magic 12mm SLR Magic 12mm SLR Magic 12mm Panasonic 35-100mm Panasonic 35-100mm Panasonic 35-100mm Panasonic 35-100mm Panasonic 35-100mm Panasonic 35-100mm Panasonic 35-100mm Olympus 17mm   Photography Credits All photography regarding the New Forest Wild Ponies was done by myself using the following...
