Andrew and Jen wedding snapshots

By on 29 April, 2015 in News, Photography

These are my unofficial photos, my snapshots, of  Andrew and Jen’s wedding. It was a wonderful weekend at the Langdale Chase Hotel in Windermere. Please note that none of the photos are edited nor processed, they are just snapshots straight out of the camera. I will publish my selected photos soon. In order to see the photos full size, please do click on a photo and a carousel will display. Within it will also show the EXIF information for those interested. More importantly it will allow for a download of the full original version.     Paparazzi shots I was on the balcony of our room with my wife and notice the official photographer taking Andrew and Jen out onto the jetty for some shots in the ‘Golden Hour’. I quickly popped on my Olympus Zuiko 75-300mm lens and snapped away.   Andrew and Jen wedding And here are some further snaps taken during the...

The real Volkswagen Golf R

By on 18 January, 2015 in News, Photography, Reviews

The real Volkswagen Golf R. This post is an update and long-term ownership review of my Volkswagen Golf R. This is a long-term owner review of the Volkswagen Golf R. I’ve had this car for nearly 12 months, and driven it for 12,000 miles (nearly 20,000 Kilometres). Most reviews will show a pristine version of the Volkswagen Golf R, but hardly ever you’ll see one how it will look in every day use. Volkswagen Golf R For those who don’t know this vehicle, it is a 300Hp all wheel drive hyper hatchback made by Volkswagen. I took ownership of mine nearly a year ago and you can read my first impressions review here. Since its first release the press have unanimously raved about this vehicle. But what is it like from a real owner, someone who drives it every day, someone who has had to live with this car, and someone who has had to deal with its issues, repairs, quirks etc....

Je suis Charlie

By on 11 January, 2015 in News, Photography, Videography

Following the sad event in Paris this week, we couldn’t stay quiet. Sure satire can be edgy at times, but at no time does it justify killing innocent people. One may disagree, one may even decide to take offence, but we should not start killing each other. Je suis Charlie I wanted to show a number of covers of Charlie Hebdo, primarily to illustrate that there was no bias with this establishment, that everything was game. It was to provoke debate and improve as a society. Unfortunately some don’t seem to be able to handle this. Je suis Charlie. Charlie Hebdo Covers 100 Lashes if you are not dying of laughter. But who wants the English in Europe Pedophile bishops Burqa ban My president Must not mock The Koran does not stop bullets Share this:TweetLike this:Like...

HeartBleed Vulnerability This Blog And You

By on 9 April, 2014 in News

Researchers have uncovered an extremely critical vulnerability, heartbleed,  in recent version of OpenSSL, a technology that allows millions of Web sites to encrypt communications with visitors. Complicating matters further is the release of a simple exploit that can be used to steal usernames and passwords from vulnerable sites, as well as private keys that sites use to encrypt and decrypt sensitive data. Heartbleed The Heartbleed bug allows anyone on the Internet to read the memory of the systems protected by the vulnerable versions of the OpenSSL software. This compromises the secret keys used to name the service providers and to encrypt the traffic, the names and passwords of the users and the real content. This allows attackers to eavesdrop communications, steal data directly from the services and users and to impersonate services and users. This blog It is likely that a great...

Meet Nero our black Labrador Retriever puppy

By on 24 June, 2013 in News

Meet Nero Benson of Whipsnade, our gorgeous black Labrador Retriever puppy. Nero was born in May 2013 as the son to Parkhatch Maisey and Cerbora Red Rum of Leospring. Nero is a kind spirited Labrador pup out of a litter of six. Nero has four sisters and one brother, all being raised by Mum and Granny. It will go without saying that he will be featured as an ongoing popular model on this site.   Why did we pick Nero the black Labrador? Well lets just say Nero chose us. My eldest daughter, Isabella, was truly afraid of dogs. When a dog crossed her path, she would rather jump in a stream than enounter the dog, not that that would have helped with a Labrador of course. When we arrived at the breeder we were greeted by Nero’s mum, Parkhatch Maisey, and his grandmother, Get Away Girl. Both are the most gentle of dogs we have come across, and to my surprise Isabella...
