These are my unofficial photos, my snapshots, of Andrew and Jen’s wedding. It was a wonderful weekend at the Langdale Chase Hotel in Windermere. Please note that none of the photos are edited nor processed, they are just snapshots straight out of the camera. I will publish my selected photos soon.
I was on the balcony of our room with my wife and notice the official photographer taking Andrew and Jen out onto the jetty for some shots in the ‘Golden Hour’. I quickly popped on my Olympus Zuiko 75-300mm lens and snapped away.

The nerdy bits
For those interested, I took these photographs in the micro 4/3 format. This is mainly supported by Olympus and Panasonic. I like this format as it is very compact and has very good quality lenses. On this day I used two cameras;
- Panasonic DMC-G6KEB-K with a Panasonic Lumix X 35-100mm F2.8 lens. This combination resembles the equivalent of the classic 70-200 fixed aperture zoom lens. Basically the same as the big white lens the pro photographer and videographer was using but much smaller.
- Olympus PEN E-P5 camera with 17mm F1.8 lens. This is the equivalent of a classic fast 35mm lens. In addition to this lens I sometimes swapped it with the Olympus Zuiko 45mm F1.8 lens. The equivalent of a 90mm f1.8, a great portrait option. These lenses are so small that I just had them in my suit pocket.
